I recently read an article with Dr. Joel Kahn about his morning anti-inflammatory smoothie. This morning I tweaked it to make it SIBO friendly. It is nutrient dense, delicious and completely satisfying. Do not be put off by the dark, almost black colour – it is wonderful!
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
5 walnuts
Protein powder of choice (I use Bare Blends Vegan)
2 tbsp coconut cream
1-1 1/2 cups water
1 tbsp cacao
1 tsp glutamine
1 tsp chlorella or spirulina
1 tbsp almond butter
1 cup kale
2 tbsp ground flax seeds
1 knob of ginger
1 tsp turmeric or 1 piece of turmeric root
- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
