I generally do not add fruit to my smoothies anymore (aside from avocado) as I feel so much better without fruit in general on my SIBO restricted diet. Today, however, strawberries sounded fab and I couldn’t resist. This smoothie is so thick you could eat it with a spoon and the sweetness of the strawberries paired with the creaminess of the drink is heaven on earth. Enjoy!
1 cup of Kale leaves, stems removed
1 finger size portion of turmeric root
1 handful of frozen strawberries (approx 6)
2 tbsp coconut cream
1-2 tbsp almond butter
2 tbsp vegan protein powder of choice
1 tsp maca
1 tsp of chlorella
1 cup of unsweetened almond milk or water
- Add all ingredients to blender and blend until creamy and smooth.
